Cindy S. Moskovic, M.S.W.  

Cindy S. Moskovic, MSW is the Director of the Iris Cantor-UCLA Women’s Health Education & Resource Center, a recognized model center that integrates clinical, educational, and health promotion programs, strategies, and research.  Ms. Moskovic is also the Patient/Consumer Education and Community Outreach Director for the UCLA National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health.

Ms. Moskovic has written and published articles on health promotion and outreach and co-authored a chapter on communication between providers and patients in a textbook for physicians. Ms. Moskovic was the lead author on a recently published article describing a multi site evaluation study of the UCLA model she developed which examined the impact of participation in an adolescent relationship violence prevention outreach program on medical students.  Ms. Moskovic Chairs a selective course in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has taught a UCLA undergraduate course on women’s health issues.  Ms. Moskovic received a Senate Certificate of Recognition from the State of California for her leadership and dedication to advancing the health of women.      

Prior to coming to UCLA in 1997, Ms. Moskovic had an extensive background in corporate health promotion, where she designed, developed, and implemented innovative, award-winning wellness and work/family programs. She also participated in “At the Table”, a discussion program of The White House Office for Women’s Initiatives and Outreach focusing on women’s health issues and concerns.  Ms. Moskovic has held leadership positions in many community organizations and has received awards for these leadership efforts. Ms. Moskovic is married and an award-winning animal and wildlife photographer whose photos are displayed in the UCLA Medical Center and other venues.
